making the road safer

Have you ever wondered how important driving is for modern-day society? Well thankfully everyone in first-world countries especially here in the USA has been able to witness and experience the benefits of driving, being able to drive anyone to reach their jobs at a reasonable time along with getting to places of necessity is a great privilege, thus driving safely is of significant importance because without caring for others and ourselves anyone can create a dangerous environment with this inmind it must also be noted that cars are categorized as guns, operating them in a reckless manner can lead to catastrophic damage which can lead to the unnecessary suffering of everyone on the road; thus learning how to operate cars in a responsible manner is very important not only to keep ourselves safe but those who share the road with us.

Driver ed has to be one of the best resources for all of the upcoming drivers, as not only does it provide a strong and informative education for upcoming drivers but it allows them from early on to learn about good and bad habits thus hopping that the student driver learns from early on what to do and what not to do in order to prevent bad habits from developing at a young age and instead help students develop good habits so they can become more responsible on the road, and by just having more drivers who have been education on what to do and what not to do the number of deaths and accidents can be reduces as being educated from early on bad habits can be prevented and avoided as the drivers from making bad sessions.

When it comes to bad habits it takes more than education to fight them, it also requires a strong way to enforce the laws and multiple data that can show what causes most incidents on the road, As a matter of fact, most accidents happen due to distractions, some of those distractions involve our phones, friends, food, pets and along others, by making campaigns that highlight the negatives and consequences of distractions while driving, these campaigns can help reinforce the consequences of ignoring certain habits like maintaining our eyes on the road or maintaining both of our hands on the steering wheel, this should result to higher levels of awareness in order to prevent deaths caused by distractions. On the topic of bad habits showing the consequences of reckless driving would also be of great importance as high-speed driving most of the time can lead to catastrophic consequences most accidents at high speeds lead to death it is rare when someone survives an accident at high speed, thus highlighting the importance of obeying the speed limit is very important as this would help decrease high speed accidents and deaths. The biggest step in making people more responsible on the road has to be making people understand the consequences of breaking the law and that most of the time our actions can affect others.

As an experienced driver myself I have witnessed and been through an accident myself, most of the incidents I witnessed could have been easily avoided if the other drivers obeid basic laws and/or were a little bit more patient, for example, I was involved in an accident on January 2022, I was driving back from an afterschool program it got dark very quickly but I was getting close to my house driving on the neighborhood streets but then I arrived to an intersection both I and the driver in front of me were making a left turn as we were both signaled but then an impatient driver decided to pass the driver that was in front of me using the shoulder lane then I got hit, both my passenger and I got harmed and suffered shoulder injuries due to the impatience of the driver who made an illegal pass while violating basic road laws after I was hit I got out of my car made suffered both the driver in the car that had hit me and my passenger were both safe and after talking with other witnesses of the accident they provided the same oppinion that if the drive that had hit me was more pattient this accident would have been avoided.

In order to become a better driver practice is required and we must keep inmind the regulations and driving laws as they allow us to be less distracted and more aware of the road that we are privileged enough to share with others.
