When I’m handed the keys
What a teenager
always get excited for is getting their permit and being able to
learn how to drive. It’s their first taste of independence. This
kind of privilege comes with a big responsibility. I had to learn
that for myself. I got in a minor accident but the effects of it was
still major on me. I was hit by another driver and had many dents on
my parents car as well as the other vehicles car. I could have gotten
my licenses taken that day, my privilege, or my parents car. The
accident was a burden on my parents as well with all the cost and
investigation. All in all it was not a pleasant experience.
In my senecio the
other driver was drinking and smoking. There was also a large group
of them. Many steps on my case as well as others that can reduce
accidents. Drinking and driving is not safe. Many seem to not take
that seriously, but the effects of it is dangerous. Being on the
phone and driving is also not safe. We get to comfortable in a car
and we forget the kind of damage it can do to us if things go wrong.
That is why it’s important to be attentive and careful to try to
avoid all these kinds of possible problems.
Driving education
can help to reduce such accidents to a certain amount. If one takes
the time to learn all the rules of the road and the possible positive
and negative outcomes then they are prepared for anything. Some do
not know what to do once in an accident. These kinds of information
can possibly save a life. Once you have knowledge on a topic you can
apply it to your life.
I as a person try to
encourage people not to b on their phone while driving. If they need
to send a text or make a call, I’ll offer to do it for them while
they focus on the road. I always try to ensure that joke of my
friends are driving with drugs or alcohol. Doing them in the first
place is bad but doing it while driving is even worse. All these
steps can help to reduce accidents and help is to have safer roads.
