Be Safe, Don’t Cause Harm!

Throughout
your life, you may witness accidents or you may be in one yourself.
Some people do not have the proper drivers ed, or even if they
did, they forget it over the years of driving and other life
obstacles. When learning drivers ed, it is important to
understand the concepts thoroughly so that in the future, you will
not have to be in an accident due to a mistake that you had learned
not to do years ago. Drivers ed is important to reduce the
number of deaths because you learn things that will keep you safe in
the future and out of harm. If you changed lanes without turning on
your blinker and someone was not able to slow down and you still
changed lanes, that would be a massive accident for no reason when
you learned in drivers ed that you should always have your
blinker on before you change lanes. Steps to reduce the number of
deaths while driving are simple. The basic things to follow are to
not be on your phone at all, obey the traffic signals, and to not be
under influence while you are driving. The phone will be a massive
distraction while you are driving and looking away even for a second
could cause an accident. Never speeding through yellow lights and
stopping when the light is red is an important key to being safe. Too
many people run red lights and even though an accident does not
always happen, it will happen eventually. Not being under influence
while driving is shown everywhere so that people understand how fatal
it could be. It could not only take their life, but also others who
are involved in the accident.

I have never been
in an accident, but I have seen family members driving irresponsibly
numerous times. My mom and dad do not drive irresponsibly, but my
aunt goes on her phone a lot and speeds up really fast at times to go
through a yellow light. She finally learnt her lesson though when she
got into an accident when she was speeding. Now she no longer goes on
her phone nor tries to speed through a yellow light. I am glad she
learnt her lesson and now she is driving safe. To be a better driver,
I shall not be on my phone while I am driving, I will follow the
speed limit laws, and I will obey all traffic signals. While I am in
the car with family members, I will be sure to remind them of what
could happen to everyone in the car because of one silly mistake.
