Texts can wait, they don’t disappear within seconds.
Texts can wait,
they don’t disappear within seconds.
Having
the ability to start driving, sounds scary right? All the worries and
fears come to mind. The impossible becomes possible. Situations that
you’ve never thought you’d had to tackle your about to tackle. Along
with the freedom you’ll receive.
Growing up moving
around the U.S constantly moving from state to state can surprisingly
be beneficial in the courses of driving. From living in the plains to
living in the Rocky mountains you face different types of roads. For
example from living in plains there’s nothing by you and you can see
the road go for miles with a smooth ride, however, the rockys you
have winding roads and hills. Living in the mountains you definitely
have a disadvantage due to wild animals such as deer, elf and bears
that may be crossing in your path, however, there is an advantage it
does teach you to have a better look on your surroundings and to be
cautious. Living in the plains are also beneficial to being able to
get speed down and getting a hang of the basic techniques of driving.
Once put behind the
wheel for your first time be sure that you understand that a text can
wait, you don’t need to put you nor others in danger due to 1 text
that isn’t more important than your life. According to TeenSafe 11
teens die a day caused by texting and driving; 2.35 million people in
the US are either injured or disabled due to texting and driving.
Make sure your instructor tells you the basics. For example, your
mirrors are aligned to where you can comfortably see them and what
your surroundings are in them, also ALWAYS wear a seat belt for your
safety. Once the basics are taught do not push past your comfort
level just take it easy and slow until you are ready. Once you’re
comfortable and are driving with others in your car do not and i
repeat do not break the law to act cool or impress someone cause
you’re risking your life and others. Also never drive with alcohol
and/or any drugs in your system due to the effect they’ll have on
you, in which you could be arrested for careless driving and under
the influence.
To be eligible
“reduce death” while driving is to never take your eyes off the
road. If an animal may run out in the road do not swerve you are only
endangering yourself and others who may be on the same road. Like
i’ve said before ALWAYS wear a seatbelt, no matter how
“uncomfortable” they may be they can save your life and leave you
with little injuries.
Growing up in
various places around the US giving me the experience of different
situations and being able to have a supportive family with a
fantastic driving course instructor has led me to be the best driver
I am today. To this day I have not been in an accident. However, I
have been in an accident while in the passenger’s seat due to texting
and driving almost ending my life. So ending on this note anything
can wait, your safety is all that matters while behind the wheel.
