Stay Aware!

With more American deaths caused by driving accidents than
involvement in wars, drivers ed is an integral part of
increasing people’s awareness on the road and reducing deaths by
car accidents.

Drivers ed teaches future drivers how to navigate the road
and follow safe driving laws while keeping an eye on others on the
road who aren’t so mindful of their surroundings and while driving.

There are a couple of ways that motor-vehicle mortality deaths can be
prevented. One way is to always be clear-headed when driving. If you
can’t think properly or are troubled by something, it is best to
call an Uber to pick you up because, at the end of the day, your
safety and the safety of others on the road are most important.
Reducing noise in the car can also lead awareness while driving and
can avoid diverting the driver’s focus from driving. Of course, the
most important thing to remember while driving is to never text while
driving and to never be mentally impaired while driving.

Although I haven’t been in a car accident or witnessed a family
member drive irresponsibly, I have seen many other people on the road
who have taken sharp and hasty turns. However, most of the time, the
reason is that they have had their concentration averted by something
else, either by their phone or another person in their car, which
causes them to make ash decisions.

Strategies that I can take to make my driving safer for myself and
others is to always turn off any distractions that might divert my
attention from the road. By making sure I am in an alert and coherent
state, I can ensure the safety of mine and drivers around me.
