Education is Key
We
use our cars daily, but have we managed to fully understand them and
the roads that we drive? Most people haven’t, they only know what
they need to get from home to work. That is great but the people who
don’t obey the laws most likely don’t even know what they are on
the roads. That is why it is always a great thing to stay educated.
If you are not educated on the laws of the road you not only put
yourself at risk but others. Make sure that you have your seat belt
fastened and it is on correctly. Many people think it is a hassle but
it is a life saver for even small accidents. My brother is a police
officer in the city of St.Louis. He was cruising down the street on
his motorcycle when an SUV pulled out right in front of him. My
brother was hit by the SUV and had a ruptured gallbladder. He was
admitted into the hospital and put in ICU (Intensive Care Unit). When
my parents and I arrived at the hospital we were handed his helmet.
There was a gash in it that went all the way down to the interior
metal. If he hadn’t been wearing that helmet my brother may not be
here today and getting married to his fiance this fall. As a driver I
will always continue to wear a seatbelt and obey the law. Education
is key to success even on the roads. I hope that myself and others
will continue to stay educated on this topic and make the roads a
safer place.
