The Need for Drivers ed

Drivers
Education. This is an important step in learning how to drive safely,
effectively, and being curdeus of others on the road. Teaching our
youth these are of course important so that everyone on the road can
feel safe when hopping on the freeway or even the local city street.
Fear is a feeling that drivers, even pedestrians on bikes or walking
shouldn’t have to feel.

Steps
that can be taken to reduce traffic fatalities are harsher penalties
for youth behind the wheel so that they can stop goofing off and
being idiodic. Other things that can be done are improvements in
technology that’ll make cars and any vehicle on the road safer. On
top of that, local D.O.T. can improve many roads that are old,
out-of-date in safety standards.

Personally
I’ve been in a few traffic accidents and seen others driving
irresponsibly. The reasons for these traffic accidents have been
others either driving irresponsibly from passing or weather affecting
the roads. My parents do text and drive from time to time, which is
just the norm nowadays for almost everyone. Luckily nothing terrible
has come out of this, but only time will tell.

Steps
that I can take to be a better driver include not worrying about my
phone, so turning on “do not disturb” mode so that I cannot hear
or see notifications. Staying curdeus of others and my surroundings
on the road is another big one. Following the rules of the road,
especially the speed limit and any regulatory signs for that matter
are very important. I can try my best to help others by using my
turn signals properly, not being a left lane hog, going at least the
speed limit, and of course just being road smart. I can only do so
much when I’m on the road as I’ve also got to rely on others to
be smart and aware of what they’re doing.
