Safer Drivers, Safer Communty

Drivers ed is essential for all, young and old, to know and
become familiar with to build a community of safe drivers. More
cautious drivers result in a less amount of accidents, reducing the
number of deaths caused by driving. More strict discipline to keep
irresponsible drivers off the road could help reduce the number of
deaths related to driving. If everyone were to act as safe driver
that would help but we all know that is not likely without putting in
reinforcements for the consequences. I have had an experience of
being in a car accident due to another driver not following the rules
of the road or portraying the role of a safe driver. The driver cut
another car off which ended up hitting my mom’s car with my mom,
grandma and I. Once that car hit us, we hit another car
uncontrollably. That one irresponsible driver caused a ripple effect
that could have injured many people. The car that hit indented the
passenger side so bad my grandma was not able to exit using that
door. Once authorities came the assisted her in getting out through
the driver door. Being that my mom’s car was a very old and rusty
model, it did not help that an irresponsible driver caused such a
collision. This why drivers ed and being a safe driver is
important. I can make sure I abide by the law and remember the
strategies learned through drivers ed. Being a great example of
a responsible and safe driver can help pave the way for others. Once
others catch a glimpse of surrounding safe drivers on the road, they
may be more prone to adapt and make it a habit. Also giving new
drivers great tips to ensure they know the rules of the road as a
safe driver.
