Driver Should Always Be Responsible

Driving
is a major responsibility. It is important to have driver’s
education because it teaches people the laws that will keep them safe
on the road. Drivers ed can also teach the driver to be alert
about their surroundings. When reducing the number of deaths while
driving people should take simple actions like buckling up their seat
belt to ensure their safety in case of an accident.  Also, the
driver should not be texting because phones are very distracting, and
the driver eyes won’t be focused on the road. 

Speeding
is one of the major causes of death. Someone could possibly lose
control of their car, or someone could be in their blindsight and not
have time to slow down. Therefore, being aware of your actions while
driving can help ensure you and others safety. Due to my age, I am
considered a high-risk driver because my age group tend to be
irresponsible about the decisions they make on the road. For
instance, my friends have told me stories about them being in
situations where they almost caused an accident. For example, my
friend, Shalise, was driving home from work and she was speeding on a
two-way street. She hit a mailbox because she could not slow down
fast enough to avoid it. 

I
can learn from my friends and family’s experiences by trying to
avoid reckless behavior behind the wheel. I am cautious when I drive,
pay close attention to others around me, and follow the driving
rules. I do not want to be the cause of an accident. My goal is to be
safe. I can help others by being a role model.
