Drivers Ed Scholarship

Driver
Education Scholorship

The
importance of drivers ed is to teach drivers about how to drive
on streets and highways while being safe. To avoid being in an
accident and the cause of traffic jams. By following the rules of
drivers ed you can reduce the number of deaths. Most of the
deaths are by teens who do not follow the rules or know them. There
either inexperience, distracted, drinking and driving, not having a
seat belt on, unaware of others, or text and drive.

For
example, when you’re a minor and you want to learn how to drive you
to have to take classes to learn how to drive. Like what is the right
way of doing things on the road. You’d go to driver Ed to read the
book and take a test on how to drive on the road. There are also
classes where you have a driving instructor to teach you how to drive
after you pass your written test. When you drive with an instructor
they’d tell them to explain while you drive what the right thing to
do while driving.

In
the past when I was younger I got into multiple car crashes. With the
other drivers being the cause of the accident because they would
speed or not check their mirrors before turning and hit my mother’s
car. There have been times my uncles have gotten into an accident for
the reason of not dropping their phone when on the street or freeway.
After weeks they learn but they end up going back to being
irresponsible drivers on their phones while driving.

We
can help people be safer drivers by teaching them the rules before
driving. After they pass their written test they can drive with an
instructor to teach them what are some ways they can avoid accidents
that aren’t something you can learn in the books. This benefits
most people because of how they need to learn they might be more
hands-on and need to be told of what’s the right or wrongs to do to
stick in their heads. I am a good example of that because I needed an
instructor and my grandfather to teach me how to drive. They telling
me what to do to benefit me to understand why to look over my
shoulder when turning left and right, to stop completely at stop
signs because of cyclists that come out and don’t stop. They were a
big help because not a lot of the book was very helpful to me after
getting a license the sign yes but most of it was about the hands-on
experience that helped the learning process. That’s what I think is
the best way to learn drivers ed.
