Drivers ed is the solution to deaths.

Drivers ed
teaches drivers many important things about the road, that those who
are not required to take drivers ed, do not know. A lot of people
wait until they turn 18 to get their driver’s licenses, so they can
skip the process of learning the rules of the road. The problem with
this is that those drivers get on the road with only knowing the
basic rules of the road and not the many rules to prevent accidents
from happening. They’re are a number of things that we can do to
prevent accidents on the road, especially when it comes to teen
driving. We can start by making it a REQUIREMENT to take a drivers
education course, for everyone who wants to get their driver’s
license, because that way if everyone on the road knows the same
rules and what not to do on the road, then there will be a high
reduce number in accidents. When it comes to teenagers, it’s a bit
tricky because a lot of teenagers decide to drunk drive..even though
they’ve learned it’s illegal from their drivers ed course.
We just trust that teenagers won’t drive after leaving a party and
taking 10 shots, but we know that’s not the most effective way to
prevent drunk driving. We can make those between 18 and 21 take drunk
driving courses once a month or every two weeks, so they know the
risk of drunk driving, and if they break the rules, take away their
license for a longer amount of time. Thankfully, I have not been in
any type of car accident and I would have to thank my parents for
that, for driving safely, and keeping me safe on the road with drunk
drivers. I have seen drunk drivers on television, and it does make me
very scared to get on the road myself, because car accidents are so
dangerous. It’s only so much protection a car can do for our body
if someone were to hit us, and data has shown that most people who
get into car accidents, do not survive…especially the victims. Once
I get my drivers license, and get on the road, I will follow all of
the rules of the road to keep myself safe and everyone on the road
safe as well. I will make sure to not use my phone at all when
driving, even at stop signs, and to make sure to wear my seat belt at
all times.
