Educating drivers can help reduce the number of deaths as result
of driving as it will increase awareness on the responsibility the
person behind the wheel is holding towards himself/herself, the
passengers, and other drivers. It will help drivers understand that
reckless driving can come with tedious consequences and one should
contribute in reducing those statistics instead of increasing them.

Continuing
education, relicensing, commercializing, campaigns and violation
penalties are all steps that can be taken to reduce the number of
deaths related to driving.

A couple months
ago, I got in a minor car accident. The driver in the other car sped
through a stop sign and didn’t make a full stop. The accident was
minor but definitely alarming.

Steps that I can
take to make me a better and safer driver are wearing my seat belt as
soon as I get in my car, turn my phone to don’t disturb when
driving mode, be attentive to how others are driving, and sharing
those steps, my experience from my accident and the importance of
being aware of the statistics about deaths that result from driving
with my followers on social media to help others become safer
