They Only Give Us More Time by Alex Tow

Driver
education is vital to reduce injuries and deaths caused by driving.
In Oklahoma, there are several programs to consider to obtain driver
education and also to be informed. There is no excuse for not taking
safety driving education because it is offer in the high school and
also by private schools. As millennials, we should rely in the
experience of our elders and take matters about driving with caution,
care and interest.

It
is shocking to know that the death toll among teenagers is so high.
At this moment, I have my driving permit and I drive but I feel
somehow scare of the freedom and the huge responsibility. I always
depend on my mom and dad driving me everywhere and now my older
sister. I wish to tell you that it is easy but it is not, the kids at
my school talk about car wrecks all the time and that make me wonder.
My mom is constantly bugging me to drive more and practice to get my
license but I don’t think I am ready. Other kids probably think
that I am crazy; the fact is that I am not ready. I want more time to
know the roads better and figure it out for myself. I know I am
different but I don’t want to fall in the pressure of this rushing
world. Someday I will drive with confidence, I will know all the
rules and drive safely.

It
is true that knowledge is power but in driving practice is
everything. I am taking my time that’s all. I hope every teenager
and youth like me will take the time to consciously learn and
practice. And I also wish our society will not place such a great
pressure on us.
How
do you
address
social
issues
without being preachy? Right?
Please
be safe.
