The Dangers of Driving

As
a driver, you should always be aware of your surroundings in order to
keep yourself, along with others around you safe on the road. Just in
one year, an average of 34000 people lost their lives on the road,
according to DmvEdu.org. As I driver myself, I was never aware of
these numbers, and I highly doubt that other drivers out there are
aware of these numbers either. This is why drivers ed is so
important for those who drive. Every driver should know the risks of
getting behind the wheel every day, which is why we as a society need
to make drivers aware of the consequences associated with poor or
reckless driving. I believe that the best way to reduce the amount of
deaths related to driving is to first send a message to all drivers
and inform them about how many people die each year from driving
related events. This allows the drivers to understand how important
the situation is, and they will finally start showing more care, and
paying closer attention to the road. One of the biggest distractions
for modern drivers is their cell phone. When I’m in the car with a
family member or friend, there’s always one moment when they pick
up their phone, and I absolutely hate it. Using your phone while
driving is one of my biggest pet peeves, and I always urge others to
avoid using their phone while driving, to keep yourself safe, and
those around you safe. I have never been in a car accident, but I
have however seen my friends and family driving irresponsibly. Before
discovering DmvEdu even I was unaware of how man incidents were
involved with reckless driving. Now that I’m aware of the
consequences, I will work harder to spread awareness for driver
safety, not only for myself, but other drivers on the road too. One
of the most efficient ways to spread awareness is by promoting
drivers ed for safety on the road, an di feel that as a
community, we can work towards accomplishing this goal.
