In the Driverseat
There is a forest
right in my backyard, so I am always aware of the amount of deer that
will be out around my house. One day I was driving home from work at
around eleven or twelve at night, and I ended up hitting a deer on
the road right by my house. The right headlight on my car was all
messed up, but I was still able to drive my car. This experience has
really scarred me, even almost a year later. I am now more cautious
when I drive and as a passenger, I am always aware and paying
attention and warning the driver if I see anything out of the norm.
Some may call this a backseat driver, but I am doing it out of love
and hopefully it will keep my friends and family from getting in an
accident. My hitting a deer may not be a usual car accident, but at
least I was driving responsibly, there was no one else in the car or
involved, and no one was injured. Well, maybe the deer was injured,
but I do not know, because it ran off. I know there are many
irresponsible drivers out in the world. My friends and family may
drive irresponsibly when I am not in the car, but they for sure drive
responsibly when I am with them. I think this may be because they
know I am a cautious driver and I do not want to lose a lot over a
stupid driving mistake.
