Risks Taken Behind The Wheel
Elijah
Driving
education is important, especially for beginning drivers because it
teaches us the rules of the road. It provides safety tips for
drivers which could help in preventing car accidents that could lead
to the death of a driver and the surrounding people. It gives you a
level of confidence that you should have when you are behind the
wheel. Drivers ed will also inform you of the level maturity
that you must have when you are behind-the-wheel. A person who is a
beginner driver will lack skill and attention to details. Driving
education can help beginning drivers develop good habits and improve
their driving skills to prevent car accidents and casualties.
Driving
safely involves following all of the rules of the road and paying
attention to traffic all around the driver’s vehicle. For people
who are beginning to learn how to drive, they would first need to
practice behind the wheel until you become comfortable. Plus, they
should develop good habits while learning, and the driver should pay
close attention to their instructor and the information that he/she
is giving. Another step that can be done it so eliminate all
distractions from the driver. It does not matter how long you been
driving, anything that will take your eyes away from the road for
even a second needs to be turned off or put away, especially your
cell phone.
As
a beginning driver myself, I have to learn the rules of the road. I
understand how important it is to drive safely because I have seen
several car accidents through the media and on the road. I am very
thankful that I haven’t experienced a car accident or have a friend
or family member who has. Driving a motor vehicle is a major
responsibility. I am not only responsible for transporting myself, I
am also responsible for protecting myself, the people that may be
with me, and also the people that surround me.
Learning
how to be a driver means learning how to be a safe driver to protect
my life and the lives of others on the road. Because I am still a
beginner driver, I am learning ways of being a safe driver. I do a
safety check of my car and my mirror before I drive. I place my
seatbelt on and turn off anything that will distract me while I am
learning to drive. I pay attention to my surrounding for any
potential danger, and keep close eye on my speed. I make sure that I
take in everything that I need to learn from my parents and what I
need to improve. And I continue to practice, and practice my driving
skills so that when I am ready to obtain my license, I am well
prepared. All of these steps I take is to make sure I don’t get
into an accident that could cost my life or the life of another
person.
