A Detour for Drivers Safety

The importance of drivers ed is very important because every
year this country suffers from car accidents of negligent drivers,
DWI, texting, or just accidents. The number of deaths increase day by
day as a result of driving so what can we do? The importance of
having the knowledge of what can happen while driving as well as what
the do’s and don’ts are can very well help with reducing deaths
in driving. Steps that can be taken is that I believe that local
communities such as high schools can have Drivers Ed for not just
learning to drive. But to learn the dangers of driving so young and
learning of distractions while on the road.

I have seen the damages of irresponsible driving in my own family
that caused a death, so I like to warn my friends of what could
happen should a decision impair their driving. By knowing what a
possibility can happen, I think its important we have people who show
examples of good driving on the road no matter what their age be. No
matter what age a person is we all have an opening to any danger
while driving and we put ourselves in the driver seat to safely reach
our destination rather than have an accident.

For me how I can be a better driver is that I can always remember
simple steps such as wearing a seatbelt when driving, always checking
if my vehicle is working properly and most important of all, make
sure I have no distractions at all. Leaving my phone off and out of
the way can easily save my life and another person’s even if we
don’t realize it. To help others be safer I like to remind them
especially of having no distractions within reach and should focus on
driving. I think by raising awareness of the dangers that happen
every time we are in the driver’s seat, we can reduce the number of
accidents that happen.
