A small mistake can change your life
Drivers ed
is very important especially to those who are starting to learn how
to drive. One as a teen especially thinks it’s very easy to drive
and outlook the importance of what it really means to be on the roads
driving. Drivers ed allows one to learn some extra steps on
how to be safe and what to do in situations that aren’t taught as
well such as how cars drive during rain, snow, hail etc. It also
ensures one understands most concepts of how to drive on streets and
highways, this is just step on reducing the risk of a crash because
one gets the feel on driving in certain areas and how they
differentiate.
The number of
deaths could be reduced gradually by not being distracted by driving
instead pay attention to roads at all times to not risk any accidents
that could harm yourself, those in the car and possibly other people
driving. Some things that could be distracting are phone calls,
music, texts, eating or even conversations with others in the car.
Being sober and going the speed limit is a major step in being more
safe while operating a vehicle. Before stepping in the car one should
have a strong mentality because any small mistake can have a
consequence.
I have been in a
car accident but I was not the driver, I was in the passenger seat.
There was no unsafe driving involved but rather a vehicle had turned
with not enough time. It was a scary experience but inevitable for
us. The only thing that could’ve been done was to look and see if a
vehicle was trying to pass into the middle lane but that was
impossible because the vision cuts short from a far distance. However
a car should not try to turn into a middle lane from the sides when
there are cars going forward. To become a safer driver I could
silence my phone, have both hands on the steering wheel and not get
distracted by people dancing in their cars. I do take my precautions
and assure safety for myself and anyone riding along. To help others
drive safely I could only drive safely myself and distance myself
from any problems.
