How to Make The Roads Safer?

The
importance of drivers ed in reducing the death count as a
result of driving is informing young drivers of the dangers of
driving irresponsibly and distracted. Educating drivers about the
dangers of irresponsible driving should be just as important as
instructing drivers on the rules of the road.

Here
are some steps that can be taken to reduce the number of deaths
related to driving. We can create a system to educate more
experienced drivers because there are more distractions available now
than there were when they were learning to drive. Also setting up a
system for law enforcement to pull over individuals and
recommend/enforce a safe driving course that teaches about the
dangers of driving irresponsibly and distracted.

Experiences
that I have had with irresponsible driving are with my grandmother.
My grandmother has been in a few minor accidents one of which I was
in the car for, but one accident she had caused her to become
extremely fearful when driving. Now whenever she is driving she
drives 15 miles per hour under the speed limit, timidly and an
excessive distance between her and the car in front of her. My
experiences driving with her have shown me that there are many
versions of distractions while driving, such as emotions, as well as
there is such a thing as driving too carefully.

Steps
that I can take to be a better and safer driver are to turn on
driving mode when I am driving so my phone does not even allow
notifications to pop up, since I have an Apple Watch it shows me
notifications immediately, also by keeping all other distractions to
a minimum. Some ways that I can help others to become safer drivers
on the road is to call out my family members and friends when they
are driving irresponsibly, inform them of ways that they can drive
safer, and remind them of the statistics they face about the risks of
death with driving irresponsibly.
