Staying Safe in a Dangerous World

Staying
Safe in a Dangerous World

Cars
are a vital machine that is used daily by millions of people in the
world. However, those millions of people do not understand the
importance of drivers ed and what it can help. This type of
education is essential in its ability to reduce the number of
accidents and deaths while driving. If more people knew more about
what to do in situations such as sliding, panic stopping,
distraction, and even collisions, the road becomes a safer place.
Even though it is impossible to prevent everything bad that could
potentially happen, it is still important to understand these things
in order to understand the dangers of the road.

One
of the steps that can be taken in order to reduce the deaths
pertaining to the road includes organizations like B.R.A.K.E.S. that
show young adults, how to be prepared for the road. Most do this by
putting people in extraordinary positions in order for them to
experience what it feels like but in a controlled environment.
However, not everyone can have the privilege to take these types of
courses. Another way to reduce accidents on the road is practice.
Practice can be key. The more a person pushes themselves into new
environments and different ways to get somewhere, they will gain more
experience and learn from their past habits.

Personally,
I was almost in a car accident on a rainy day when my car started to
skid along the road. I started losing control but dure to my driving
training by B.R.A.K.E.S., I knew how to get out of a skid. It was
very scary for me but by going through the B.R.A.K.E.S. program I
knew how to remain calm and gain control of my vehicle. The few hours
that I took out of my day to learn a few new techniques on how to
prevent accidents and how to drive the streets with certainty saved
my life and is proof that drivers ed can reduce the number of
deaths in car accidents.

In
order to become a safer and better driver, I intend to take the
safety standards seriously and as for others, I intend to encourage
them to do the same. As well as share my experiences and my thoughts
on drivers ed.
