Driving is a Privilege
Everyone
thinks that driving is a right a passage. It is expected of every 16
year old teenager to get their license and hit the open road. To
most, driving is right when actually it is a privilege. Many people
take that privilege and abuse it by driving dangerously and not
obeying traffic laws. If everyone realized how dangerous driving can
be and was aware of the cost of reckless driving, the road would be a
safer place.
One
way a person can drive safer, is by realizing what they’re driving.
A car can be very dangerous. A person needs to realize that a car
going a certain speed can kill someone. Being aware of this can help
you think twice before you speed down the road going 20 over the
speed limit.
Another
thing a person needs to realize that they are not the only person on
the road. There are other people with lives, families, and children
they need to go home to. To think that those people need to suffer
just because another person wanted to be 5 minutes early is horrible.
When
it comes down to it, if someone breaks a traffic law, it is out of
selfishness. That selfishness leads to brokenness. If everyone is
aware of the actual cost of what happens when they get behind the
wheel, they would try to drive a bit more safer each time.
