Drivers and The Dangers that Tag Along

Drivers and the Dangers that Tag
Along

There
are many different things behind the importance of driving education,
in efforts to reduce the number of deaths while driving. Situations
that end badly can occur due to driving under the influence, texting
and driving, and just being plain careless. There are deaths that are
caused by people of all ages, and also all different events that
occur. There is care in each one of us, but sometimes it slips from
our minds in the most important times on the road. Dangers of driving
are all over the road, and all over the world.

Many
different steps can be taken to reduce the amount of deaths relating
to driving, like enforcing stricter rules with phones and removing
texting and driving from the equation all together. There can also be
retesting periods for people over the age of 65, and could be
incentives tied to the retesting so there are more people
participating. There can also be more people advocating for safer
driving, and encouraging people throughout their city or state to
drive safer.

Although
I have never been in a car accident, I still have heard stories from
my family about their incidents they have been in or witnessed and
how they went down. Most cases were either impatience or pure
carelessness and were very avoidable. Accidents happen in a split
second, and is almost always because the driver takes their eyes off
the road or their hands off the wheel. I have seen friends drive
irresponsibly, and have called them out on it to create not only a
safer environment for me in the vehicle but also for people on the
road driving.

Steps
can be taken by not just adults, and can even be more influential if
teens begin advocating for safer driving. Some steps I have already
taken and will continue to take are putting my phone in the center
console and have it connected to bluetooth in case any calls come
through. I always wait for the texts until after I am at my
destination, and keep my eyes on the road at all times. Advocating
for people to be safer than they are is something I have already
done, and will continue to do to create a safer environment for
people on the road.
