The importance of driving and driving education
The
importance of drivers ed is to not only to help teens prepare
for the road, but to teach them the dangers and how much impact
driving can have on them and other people on the road. Teens learn
that driving is a privilege and also dangerous, and many teens
including young adults fail to make smart decisions on the road
sometimes and it could cause something fatal. Drivers ed
teaches all the ways and dangers driving can be and many safety
lessons are taught. This is exactly why drivers ed must be
taken so that young people have a better understanding of how to
drive safely on the road and make smart decisions.
There
are quite a few steps to take to decrease deaths in automobile
related accidents. The first thing would be to prepare your child or
teen to take the drivers ed course. Even might wanna get them
behind the wheel to get a feel of it but do not let them drive just
yet. The drivers ed is already a big step to take to better
help the new driver but one must study the rules and safety about
being behind that wheel. Parents should also include themselves when
it comes to them ready to get their license. Parents shall educate
their children about driving.
I
personally have been in an accident and it was after the Christmas
holiday and was right before new years. I had totaled the family car
but luckily no one was hurt. Not even me. I made an ignorant decision
behind the wheel. My advice to all is to never be too confident or
comfortable when driving and always be alert of your surroundings,
and get off the phone. I had to learn that the hard way but truly
learned my lesson. You never know what could go wrong and take
driving seriously because it can really affect your life and others.
Wasn´t the best way to end the year!
Some
steps I can take ( and not only me ) is to perhaps focus on improving
your own driving skills and knowledge about what to do on that road.
Get some family members to help you practice better road skills and
knowledge or even teach your friends. Encourage your friends and
others to take the drivers ed course so that many will not
only have the privilege, but also know the safety and impact of
driving.
