Stay safe, Be safe

The
issue today is that there are people that go through all the steps to
get their driver’s license , but as soon as they receive their
licenses they break all the rules. The way I think of it is that my
life is not any more important than anyone else, so what makes me
better than the rules that are set in place to keep us safe? The
answer to that question is nothing, I believe that following the laws
are cool. I believe that the laws are not hard to listen to, but the
issues are those individuals that think that they are better than the
laws. The way to reduce the number of deaths is very easy and quite
simply, put down the phone and don’t text and drive, or don’t drink
and drive and call someone. I have personally experienced a near head
on collision with someone that was distracted by their phone, that
fear that I had during the moments before I was about to get hit
scared me. It showed me how dangerous distracted driving really is,
which pushed me to be the best driver that I can be. The steps to
create safer drivers is to teach the ones that are learning the right
way to drive, and to give them lots of practice to make sure they
understand. The next step is to pay attention to those that are not
paying attention to you, this will ensure that you are safe and this
decision could help save others as well. The final step for everyone
is that following the laws are cool, because no one deserves to die
or lose a loved one because of your choices while driving. Take care
of yourself and others and one day the roads will be safe again!
