Safe Than Cool

Have
you ever thought about driving? I’m
sure you have, in order to drive there are always things you should
know to prevent any accidents. Getting your driver’s license is what
all teenagers in high school would want, especially so that you can
go out more and have many adventures with your friends. It is so cool
to get your license before anyone else, but you should know it is
always better safe than to be cool. Although you could be a very good
driver there are some people who drive recklessly that you never know
what could happen.

As
a teenager myself I always go on my phone when I hear it ring. But
when in the drivers seat it is best to put it away out of sight with
the ringer off. There are high statistics with drivers getting into
accidents by swerving into another lane because they were busy on
their phone instead of paying attention to the road. Small things are
ways to prevent any accidents. To avoid getting accidents you should
never go extremely over the speed limit, this can lead to loss of
control if there were any water or spills on the road or even a
pothole. You should never speed because if a car were to ever
suddenly stop you would not have enough reaction time to prevent
anything from happening. When at a stoplight, do not go right when it
turns green. Even though it is your right of way, there are people
that will speed up until the last minute even when it is yellow.

As
you can see, there are many ways on preventing an accident. You have
to always be aware of your surroundings because driving is very
dangerous, but it is not impossible to stay safe. Drivers ed
is a way to prevent anything from happening so you know what to do
and what could possibly happen. We see all these accidents on the
news, but people do not realize how easily it can be solved to fix
this problem. We would not want to see you on the news like these
people. Don’t
act cool because you can drive. Drive safely and always look around
for your surroundings. If you see someone driving reckless, get their
license plate and call the police because you might just be saving a
life or two.
