Speed Kills
Speed KIlls
It is very important
to educate our new drivers to teach them good practices right away to
prevent irresponsible driving. Almost 3,600 new drivers die each year
due to irresponsible driving. That’s a lot of families affected and
many lives lost that may have been prevented.
I think more
intensive learning tools such as accident reenactments in many
different situations that teens and new drivers are faced with every
year. Like drunk driving, texting and speed factors. When they see it
I think it gives a deeper sense of realization versus just talking
about it. Very strict laws, example speed, someone that gets alot of
speeding tickets should only be able to get 3 and have their license
taken away. Not paying the ticket and continuing to speed there were
37,133 traffic fatalities that were recorded in 2017 where at least
one driver was speeding.
my family was not
acting irresponsible but another person was in 96 my aunt and cousins
were on their way home. My aunt was stopped at a stop sign and
proceeded to turn as it was dark and clear. When they were hit and
killed by a drunk driver in a high speed chase with police. The
driver turned his lights off in an effort to elude the police. The
driver was doing almost 100 miles per hour when he hit my aunt. My
uncle (31) cousin (8) and my cousin (10) were killed, the drunk
driver walked away with minor scratches as my aunt and 5 year old
cousin lay in the hospital trying to recover. All of my family was
ejected from the vehicule.
Be aware that the
vehicle you are driving is a weapon and very capable of taking a life
without warning. So put your purse in the trunk so as to not be
tempted to answer that call or text. Be very mindful of the speed
limit and speed you are doing. Get your music and radio ready before
you put your vehicle in drive. Be cautious of other drivers, watch
them keep your eye on the road at all times and always wear your seat
belt.
