Driver’s
education is an essential part of driving, without it there would be
way more deaths from driving every year. Driving accidents are the
number one cause of death to teenagers. Quite often it is because
these teenagers are not experienced in the way of driving on the
road. Resulting in a crash that could cost them their life. Driver’s
education gives them a chance to learn in a classroom situation,
which is what most teenagers are used to in their day to day lives.
After learning about it, they then get the chance to drive with
someone that is a professional in dealing with inexperienced drivers.
Someone who is not used to inexperienced drivers, may not know the
best way to communicate to the driver. A drivers ed teacher
understands how to communicate with young adults. They also have
safety precautions, such as the emergency brake on the teacher’s
side. This will get them ready to be on the road, as experienced as
they should be, and also know the rules of the road.

I
think that the number one thing that we can do to prevent deaths by
motor accidents, is to make it harder to get your driver’s license.
It’s really easy to get your license now. As for me, I didn’t even
have to study in order to achieve it. I would like to say that I have
good intuition, but it should require more than that in order to be
out on the road as a potential risk. 

I
have definitely seen people drive recklessly on the road that I live
on. It’s a two lane road with a turning lane in the middle of it.
Often, people will pass slower drivers using the turning lane. This
is very dangerous because there could be someone in that lane waiting
to turn, and could just smack right into them. There are also races
on our road a couple times a week. We call the cops, but they never
get here in time to catch the drag racers.

I
think that the best thing I can do is just make sure that I know the
rules of the road. With this, I can make sure that I am safe on the
road. I can also review these rules with my friends and family to
make sure that they know the rules of the road as well.
