Driving
is one of the most dangerous activities you do on a daily basis.
Driving can be very dangerous due to the large number of people that
die annually. This massive death toll is on an average of 35
thousands people per year which is more deadly than the US
involvement in the Korean War. I know that this deadly activity of
driving is reduced with education. Driving school is a must for
anyone that hopes to drive safety on the road. Driving school is
needed due to driving gives you a great depth of understanding the
road that you’re driving on. Without driving school you have a
difficult time learning how to drive safely on the road, and this
allows education and training to dramatically decrease the amount of
death on the road while you’re driving. This education can show the
steps you can take while driving to increase your safety. Some steps
you can take to increase your safety is to double your mirror. Aslo,
check your blindspot before lanes while using your turn signals to
alert the people around you that you’re changing lanes. Another step
to increase safety on the road is to wear your seatbelt. The seatbelt
is a very improved tool for your seatbelt designed to save lives,
because on the road safety lives are the key idea. In addition, being
aware of your surroundings greatly decreases fatality on the road.
This technique is known as defensive driving which tries to drop the
rates of accidents and mistakes on the road. This is another known
technique to increase driving safety is to not be distracted with
driving due to distraction being a major influence in most driving
accidents and driving related deaths. Distractions have caused eighty
percent of driving accidents in the United States. This is the main
cause behind no texting while driving due to the great deal of
trouble of distraction that texting causes, but with these driving
safety steps can reduce the risk of driving related fatality.

I
personally know the damage that unsafe driving has on you and the
others around you. I have been in harmful car accidents that have
profoundly affected me and my family. The most recent car accident
that I have been was in around two years ago. This car accident
happened when I first started to learn how to drive. I have recently
got my permit from my school offering to pass the written exam to get
my permit and have the opportunity to begin learning how to drive. So
I was going home from work with my mom in the car. I was not paying
attention to my surroundings then Boom, I hit a car in the back tire.
In those moments and the days afterward, I learned the importance of
diving safety.
