Shouldn’t Have to Learn from
Experience

With the increasing number of driver’s in our world it is highly
important that each driver receives the proper drivers ed.
In doing this, the high risk of fatal deaths caused by car accidents
can be reduced. With this knowledge, driver’s will be able to
successfully take part of the priveleges that come with driving. In
being cautiously aware of others and their driving habits we can make
the roads a safer place.

Not
everyone enjoys going through the hours of necessary driver’s
education. However, it is absolutely essential that time is focused
on learning about the road and the dangers of driving. Think about
it, if know one had any drivers ed before receiving their
license or permit, everyone would be driving around like mad men.
Know one would know the rules of the road, and there would be dire
consequences. Thousands would die daily if that were the case.
Unfortunately, even with the proper education some still disregard
the importance of being safe and aware on the road, and people are
still hurt or killed in accidents.

Years
ago, my dad was driving to work and he was in a bit of a hurry. He
was approaching a traffic light that was about to turn red. Without
really paying attention, he decided to keep going through. My dad’s
car spun around in the middle of the intersection and was totaled. He
ended up hitting a car with a small child and a father in it.
Luckily, no one was hurt, but the thought of what could’ve happened
haunted my dad and I’m sure the father and son that were hit. If
only my dad would’ve paid attention and stopped just like you’re
supposed to at the red light.

As
a driver, I am always alert and making sure I’m making the safest
moves possible. I am always aware of the driver infront, next to and
behind me. Staying a good 4 feet from the person infront of me is one
of the precautions that I take seriously. When stopping at a light or
at stop signs I always make sure to stop for a few seconds longer and
really make sure to look and make sure that no one is going to go
zooming through. This makes the people behind me angry sometimes, but
I am protecting myself and them from any uneccessary accidents. In
doing this, I am a safer driver and I am helping the general public
stay safe on the roads.
