Safer
Driving

Something
that causes car accidents the most is probably texting and driving,
obviously someone who is learning how to drive won’t text and drive
while someone is with them. Since younger people want to learn to
drive sooner they may still get tempted to look at their phone every
time they feel it vibrate, which may result in crashing into other
vehicles or hitting someone who is crossing the street. Something
that can help prevent these accidents from happening so often are
putting their phone on “Do Not Disturb” because it completely
shuts off the persons phone from receiving any kinds of messages or
notifications.

Car
accidents may happen often because of speeding as well, again the
younger drivers might want to race or just drive fast, just for the
fun of it. This results in some of the worst accidents because of how
fast they end up crashing into other cars. For the speeding problems
there isn’t much that can be done except making consequences more
serious or educating young drivers understand the dangers and
consequences of speeding. They could make the fine for speeding go up
higher so that people will think twice about driving too fast.

Thankfully
I have never been in a car accident but I have almost been in a
couple, mostly because the people in the other car are on their phone
or going to fast. They become so unaware of their surroundings that
they don’t realize who or what is in front of them.

Some
of the steps for better driving education are more hours of learning
how to drive, so that these young adults can really understand the
proper way to drive and understand the consequences of driving under
the influence, speeding, or on their phone. They may also require a
longer test that has more questions, maybe methods on how to respond
to different situations, such as not getting mad when accidents
happen, such as road rage, coming off easier.
