Being
On Alert While Driving
When
someone is taking their drives class to get their permit or license,
they were supposed to know what to do and what not to do while being
behind the wheels. Important rules every drive is supposed to know
before being able to drive is that they shouldn’t be using their
phones while driving, using the appropriate lane, being aware of
bikers and pedestrians, and don’t try to turn or change the radio
while the car is moving. Many of these things aren’t followed by
teenagers because they feel the need to show off to friends when they
are new drivers.
When
someone is driving they shouldn’t only think about their safety but
others also. If they aren’t paying attention to the road when they
are driving, they can bring harm to themselves and to others that are
on the street. Driving and text or being distracted isn’t something
that someone should be making a habit of. The only time that you can
use your phone is when the car is in park and it’s not moving. If
your driving and you get an emergency call, pull over, put your car
in park and then answer the call. Never answer a phone call while
your car is moving even if its an emergency.
Driving
and trying to change or turn the radio on isn’t safe. Doing that
puts you and others, such as drivers and pedestirands, in harm’s
way. Before you put your car on drive, make sure that the station
that you want to listen to is on so that when your driving you
wouldn’t have to worry about changing it. Or if there is another
station you want to listen to but your driving already, the best way
to change the station and keep you and others safe, is by finding
somewhere you can park real quick and change the station. Or the best
way to make sure that every song your listening to is to make a
playlist on your phone and put it on your car Bluetooth so that the
songs you like to listen to comes on and you wouldn’t have to worry
about changing the song.
Drivers
tend to drive on the wrong lane, but this isn’t safe at all.
Driving on the wrong lane can cause cars to get in an accident or
even cause a driver to turn so hard just to watch out for your moving
car that they end up getting seriously injured. Each lane has a
direction that it goes and the reason for these directions are to
keep cars from driving towards each other from different directions
and getting themselves hurt.
Being
safe on the road while driving should be the first priority and
that’s the only thing someone should be worried about. You
shouldn’t be worried about changing the radio while the car is
moving, picking up the phone while the car is moving, driving on the
wrong lane, being aware of others around you such as bikers, drivers
and pedestrians.
