What
is the importance of drivers ed in reducing the number deaths
as a result of driving?
Thousands
of people die in vehicle accidents each year as a result of bad
driving and so many more suffer. When a person gets behind the
wheel they are taking their life, their passengers life and the lives
of all fellow travelers in their hands. A person dies as a
result of driving, this is not just one person- society takes a hit.
Friends, loved ones, peers are all mourning while hospital bills
start piling up in the mail. Most citizens fail to understand
how much of an impact one person can have.
Drivers
education courses are the easiest way to get through to the majority
and teach them about safety on the road. A human is no match
for a thousand pound machine. By taking drivers ed courses drivers
are reducing their risk of death by a large amount. These
courses are so amazing in that they try to cover any scenario from
the safe way to drive in snow to the safest way to change a tire.
Drivers without this knowledge are generously comparable to a
blindfolded experienced driver.
Every
person who has completed a drivers ed course received similar
knowledge which is a huge help to safely travel, this drastically
lowers the amount of deaths at small traffic stops. There is no
way to guarantee you will wake up the next morning but by receiving
drivers ed you are increasing the chance for you and your
fellow drivers.
