Drivers ed

The
importance of drivers ed in reducing the number of deaths is
Teen driver safety. Ninety-Five percent all car crashes are caused by
driver error. Sixty percent are caused by teenagers that get
distracted while driving. There’s a program The AAA foundation
which allows teenagers to practice their driving skills and help them
pass their Drivers ed. When the program is taken not only do
accidents occur less but, leave students with greater long-term
knowledge from those who didn’t take Drivers ed.
Steps
that can be taken to reduce deaths are related to driving are to talk
with teenagers. Driving is not just about getting in a car and
supposedly knowing how to drive. There is so much more to that such
as understanding the signs. When It comes to driving knowing what
your doing can help you throughout your journey because the signs
explain simple rules such as pedestrian walks, stop signs, and most
important of all speed limits. Driving is one of the most deadliest
causes for teens because they think they feel free to do whatever
they want without actually knowing the rules.
As
a child I have had experience in a car crash. It was not technically
a car crash but I was in a car and I got my face injured so I’ll
say car incident. Either way besides me, my sister was pregnant when
she flipped over heading towards Ventucopa about four years ago.
Turns out she and her baby were good but, knowing that I could of
lost my sister in a snap of a finger really scares me up to this day.
The world and people is such a dangerous place that’s why we need
to learn how to take things serious and make less incidents occur.
Steps
for me to become a better driver is by listening and studying. As of
seventh grade my dad has been teaching me rules on how to be a safe
driver. He gives me talks and when I mess up he tells me what I did
wrong and I get upset and my eyes turn watery but, it’s not because
I’m sad but because I’m nervous when I’m driving with him
because I want to show him that I’m ready. My father as thought me
one emergency step which is when a day comes a tire will pop what
will I do? Well, as he told me I would have to let go of the gas
pedal and not step on the brake. He told me just to maintain the
steering wheel nice and firm because it will become hard to control
and when I see space out by the side of the road to drive off into a
stopping point. The ways I could show others is by teaching them the
steps my dad taught me.
