Driving
is important across the world, It is the perfect form of
transportation. Although it isn’t accessible by everyone for
individual use people also can travel via uber, lyft , cab, etc.
Driving is significant, especially in the United States of America.
Driving is like a profession you have to take classes before driving
and just like school there are rules people have to follow when
learning how to drive and also driving, While driving has its good,
it has its bad, According to the road safety association, Everyday on
average there are 3287 deaths. This scares me and to fix this we have
to take, the importance of drivers ed and the steps that can be
taken to reduce this issue. My experience in driving has taught me a
lot and there are many things we can do to help and teach each other
how to be better drivers.
Drivers
Education is the foundation of driving, without it, you can imagine
going to college without going to highschool or receive high school
education. Imagine a bunch of teenagers who didn’t attend a high
school or didn’t receive highschool education and they had to take
a test to get into college, they would most likely fail, right?. This
is easily compared to driving without a good driving education the
amount of death, injuries, accidents each year would skyrocket.
Although many injuries, accidents, and death has occurred without it,
driving would be chaotic. The importance of drivers ed is beyond the
statistics.
Furthermore,
according
to the association for international road safety,
Each
year nearly 400,000 people under 25 die on the world’s roads, on
average over 1,000 a day. This is very frightening, this suggests
that young adults and teenagers are involved and affected by driving.
To fix this I believe there’s a couple of steps we can use to reduce
the numbers. To begin I believe they driving age should be increased,
teenagers these days are reckless and are driven by adrenaline,
drugs, and attention. Although this isn’t all teenager, I believe a
couple more years would mature and give add on to the continuous
experience of driving.
From
personal experience, there are many things I see on and off the road.
I have personally been in a car crash , I was with my mom in a taxi
and due to the bad road from where I am from jamaica, sometimes it’s
tricky traveling, we were on our way to a river and while turning
around a loop we hit a car I don’t remember much because I blacked
out but it scared me, I never really saw knew things that happen on
occasionally.
To
add to, Growing up I moved to the United States, and from there I
realized that accidents happen. As stated I have experienced a lot,
driving with my parents or with other people. There are many things
we can do to help each other be safe, To start with making sure you
or anyone seat belt is on, Encouraging yourself and other people to
drive as a defensive driver, meaning tell other people there mistakes
if they are speeding tell them to slow down and educate yourself and
others.
Driving
is an important part of our society, making sure we are all safe when
driving is the responsibility of every individual the one who drives
and even the passengers. Driving education is the foundation and
makes sure you ask as much as possible. Enjoying to drive should come
without worries and ensuring that, depends on you and the drivers
around you.
