Car
crashes are the #1 killer of teens, causing 33% of all teens to die.
95% of all car crashes are caused my driving error. What caused this
number to reduce crashes to 4.3%? A study by the AAA foundation that
teens who go through a drivers ed class are safer on the road. Teens
who go through the lesson are most likely going to listen to
professionals than their parents. Not only do they score higher on
their exams but they know a lot more about the road than their peers.
Steps that can be taken to reduce the number of teen crashes is by
making drivers ed a mandatory class that you have to take to be able
to get your permit. Not only do you get to take your permit test for
free but you can also learn a lot that will benefit you on the road.
There are too many people that are dying. I recently lost a friend of
mine who was twenty-four years old because someone wasn’t paying
attention. Steps you can take to be a safe driver is by always paying
attention to what you’re doing and to pay attention to the speed
limits. Always put on your seatbelt and always look out for other
drivers as well. Today, a lady almost hit me but I was holding the
horn and she realized what she had done.
