Safety in driving

Driving is a big
responsibility, you have your life in your hands and the life of
others whether they are in your car or are other drivers driving ,the
people that are walking, or riding their bicycles. On average there
are about 34,000 deaths each year, that is a high number and it is
very scary. There are accidents like car crash accidents that happen,
there are also accidents where a driver hits someone that is walking
or riding a bike. There are many ways to prevent these accidents from
happening , that is why drivers need to be safe and educated. Driver
education is extremely important for many reasons. Drivers ed plays a
huge role in learning the basics of driving, what you need to
understand on the road to be a safe driver. This will help people
learn on respecting all the rules, because rules are made to keep
them and others safe. Drivers ed helps there be more drivers
that are educated leading for them to be safer drivers, they reduce
the risk of deaths as a result of driving. To reduce the number of
deaths because of driving, everyone needs to put their phones down
while they are driving. Driving and being on your phone is a step
closer to your death or someone else’s. As well as speeding and not
respecting red lights and stop signs. Putting the phone away, driving
at the speed limit and respecting the stoplights and stop signs can
reduce the number of deaths that are caused. Driving is a privilege,
to avoid life’s being taken away, driving should not be treated as
a game. Driving is a mode of transportation, and should be treated
with awareness and carefulness.

I do know a person
that is a reckless driver, driving fast is cool to them, racing,
texting and driving is okay to them. I view that as not respecting
other people’s life’s. Reckless drivers cause really bad car
accidents hurting people other than themselves. Some steps to be a
safer driver is not driving until you are confident and have had
enough practice. Not giving into pressure of driving fast because
others want you to, or driving under the influence of drugs or
alcohol. Be aware of your surroundings, and act responsible. Also not
being on the phone while driving, you can not be focused on two
things at once like driving and texting or watching a video. Put all
your attention on driving. Something I would say to someone that
isn’t driving responsible is ask them the question of what would
they do if they took someone else’s life away because of their
driving ways.
