The
Importance of Driver Safety
Automobile
accidents are becoming more prevalent because people are not
stressing the importance of driver safety. Drivers ed courses
are there for the sole purpose of teaching new drivers how to drive
safely and responsibliy. More deaths and accidents will be prevented
when more people participate in safe driving.
Driver
education courses help teach young drivers safe driving skills that
they will use everyday. These skills include keep a safe following
distance, pay attention to road signs, and many more and they need to
be followed of you want to stay safe while driving. Some steps that
can be taken to reduce deaths related to driving reduce distractions,
follow safe driving rules, and take helpful advice from older
drivers. By reducing distractions and following safe driving rules
you are being fully aware of your surroundings and are able to react
to any issue. Not all advice from older drivers is helpful so make
sure that you research the advice they give you just to be sure it is
something that will keep you safe on the road.
I
have personally never been in an accident but I have been in the car
while the driver has been distracted. The driver who is my friend
took their eyes off of the road to try and talk to me but I quickly
reacted by calmly suggesting that they should keep their eyes on the
road. Some steps that I have taken to make myself a better driver is
take a drivers ed course and constantly study to make sure
that I am a safe driver. I also have taken the steps of not being
afraid to tell my friends or parents when they are not driving
safely. It may seem rude that you are telling them what to do but
they are responsible for your life, so that should be responsible for
their driving.
Being
a safe driver is not hard, it is just making sure you are following
all of the laws and safety tips that can keep you and everyone else
safe on the road. Drivers ed courses are really important
because they teach young drivers safe driving habits that they will
keep doing for as long as they drive. Accidents with automobiles can
be prevented when safety tips from a drivers ed course are put
into use while you are driving.
