Let’s Make Driving Safe!
I believe that drivers ed is really important because teens who
take the class will understand the right and the wrongs out driving
and they would be least likely to get into accidents or tickets. Many
teens don’t take the drivers ed class because they think
it is a waste of time and they think that they are perfectionists
when it comes to driving. In the United States, you have to complete
in eight-hour class learning about driving and take two driving tests
with an instructor in order to get you license if you are under the
age of 17. Most teens would skip that step after getting their
permits and wait until there 17th birthday to get their
license because they don’t have to take a third-party class. In my
opinion, I think that a third-party class should be taken by
everybody under the age of 21 to reduce the number of teens and that
are driving reckless in the streets. That would push teens to take
the class because they would not have a choice if they want to drive
in high school or college. Me personally, I have been in a car
accident and I was the cause of it, but it wasn’t like I was on my
phone or anything, I just simply wasn’t looking at the car in front
of me I was looking at the car coming towards us. I did have an older
cousin that was in a car accident but unfortunately, he passed away
due to the impact. He was driving around a curve with his friends in
the car and while going around the curve he was doing over 80mph and
he lost control and ran into a tree. Another time I was with someone
driving irresponsibly was when I was with my cousin, and I was
sitting in the back seat and she turned around to look at me and not
paying attention to the car in front of her. To become a safer
driver, I would think about what may happening if I were to do
something wrong while driving. I would also drive the speed limit and
watch the drivers around me.
