How
one person can change the number of deaths that occur due to car
accidents
Drivers
education not only teaches citizens how to drive but the effects of
driving while under the influence, restless, or impaired in anyway.
Knowing the effects of impaired driving makes drivers think twice
when they should and shouldn’t be driving. Each time someone
chooses to drive they should do a self-evaluation on if they are able
to drive in the state they are currently in. If intoxicated or
impaired in any way they should get an uber/lyft, have a friend drive
(DD) or if someones house see if they are able to spend the night
there. Not only can death occur while driving impaired, but if pulled
over you could lose your license, be put in jail, etc. Doing
self-evaluations and checking up on impaired friends who want to
drive at some point are ways that could prevent accidents and deaths.
I have not personally experienced a car accident but my cousins’
best friend died after being hit by a drunk driver on his way home. I
am always the designated driver when my friends decide they want to
go out. I ensure none of them get behind the wheel while impaired.
Showing people the statistics of death by driving
impaired/non-impaired will help them realize the future decisions
they make could have an ever lasting effect on someone else’s life.
