People,
especially students, need to know a thing or two about driving
safely. There are many different safety tools and statistic on bad
driving habits. These few tips that will give drivers an idea of what
to do and not to do on the road.

There
are many different safety tips, but the main ones are watching the
road, checking the mirrors, putting on seatbelts, having good brakes,
knowing pedestrians have the right of way, stopping at stop signs and
stop lights, driving the speed limit, using blinkers, looking behind
while backing up, and avoiding distractions. Following these rules
deters accidents.


Few
of the bad habits are driving under the influence of alcohol, driving
tired, speeding, distracting driving, driving too fast in bad
weather. Twenty-nine percent of all traffic deaths are through
driving under the influence of alcohol. Driving tired caused 22,000
accidents in 2013. Thirty-one percent of all fatal car accidents are
caused by speeding. Distracted driving accidents on the road that are
caused are around 660,000 accidents. Twenty-four percent of all car
accidents are from driving too fast in bad weather, drivers have to
correlate the speed based on the weather (www.idrivesafely.com).

Drivers
who follow the rules and understand how important it is to follow
good habits should be fine on the road with some experience. Drivers
who follow these rules are less likely to be the cause of an accident
or vehicular manslaughter, or causing someone to be paralyzed for the
rest of his or her life. Drive as the law says and be safe.
