The
Importance of Control

As
members of society today, we are faced with severe trials that are
simply uncontrollable and inevitable. There are times that are
incapable of preparing for, meant to teach us lessons and struggle.
Some things, however, should not have to be issues at all. If more
steps are required before being licensed to drive, many more car
crash related casualties would be prevented.

Over
the past twenty years, car related casualties have reached shocking
numbers. They can be compared numerically to the deaths tallies of
several wars in historical times. Many of these deaths could be
prevented with efficient preparation and knowledge acquired from
drivers ed. With having several ways in which one could lose
their life, car related accidents should be controlled.

Personally,
I was close to losing my chance to live at all because of a car
crash. My mother was in a traumatic car accident in the snow when she
was pregnant with me. If the driver were more aware of the dangers of
the weather, this awful encounter would surely have been avoided.
Perhaps if the driver had taken a physics class and been exposed to
the effects of weather on the friction of the roads, he would not
have been so reckless. Adding physics class to driving education
would be a very realistic way of controlling these car incidents.

And I, as a driver, can help
solve the problem by driving safe and demonstrate efficient
techniques. I can continue to not give in to the temptations of
distractions while on the road. I can further my way of driving in
which I always drive the speed limit and without too many people in
the car. Overall, control is the best way in which to approach these
skyrocketing numbers of deaths related to automobile accidents. We
must control the knowledge of the physics of driving, the
repercussions of dangerous driving, and the benefits of safe driving.
