“In the driver’s
seat essay”

In
the driver’s seat

One bright morning
in late November, I woke up excited and ready to start the day, it
was time to write the test for my learners permit. I had been
studying for months and I was so excited to write it, little did I
realize how much power was put in my hands when I was behind the
wheel. Everytime I get into my parents car, I don’t have to worry
about if they know how to keep me safe in the car, or if they knew
all of the rules of the road. I would always assume they would be
great driers and never have an issue driving. I never had to question
a drivers skills while in their car before my friends started getting
their licenses, then I realized that the only reason why my parents
could drive so well was because of practice. But what can you do that
can ensure that you have good practice? Good luck? I thought to
myself before getting in the driver’s seat, how can I make this good
practice? America’s deadliest killers swarm the streets everyday,
taking the lives of many people’s loved ones. There’s only one
answer to how to keep the roads safe. Be responsible for yourself and
others.
