Drivers ed is
important because it teaches new drivers the rules of the road, and
it allows drivers to become aware of others on the road with them. It
also teaches students the way of the road from a drivers point of
view, so it helps become more aware as pedestrians. Many begin to
understand how hard it may be for a driver to always be aware of
pedestrians near them.

To reduce the number
of deaths related to driving, drivers can put down all types of
technology that will probably distract them. They can also make sure
their phone is at a low volume so if lots of texts and calls come in,
it will not be distracting. Pedestrians should always look both ways
before they cross the street. Pedestrians should always look up when
close to cars, because phones are very distracting. Looking at
technology can cause you to think that what is going on on your phone
is more important than what is going on in front of you (and your
safety).

One time, my mom was
driving and trying to turn into a one way, but a car on the far right
side of the street didn’t see her car, and kept going at his very
fast speed. He crashed into the side of our car, and I was very
scared. At the time of the accident, I didn’t know why the car
crashed into us, and why we didn’t speed up. Now that I have been
in drivers ed, I know that the car crashed into us because sometimes
it can be extremely hard to see other cars. I now know that you have
to be cautious on other cars, especially in places where they are
very hard to see. We were very lucky we weren’t hurt. There are
many accidents that lead to injuries and even death.

My mom was hit by a
car as a pedestrian, before I was born. She was hit by a car that was
driven by someone under the influence of drugs. My mom was hit, and
had many injuries. The driver fled the scene. My mom ended up
spending a week in the hospital, and dealing with broken bones after
the injury. Her story from this experience has taught me to be
extremely careful as a pedestrian. It has also taught me about the
dangers of driving under the influence.

To become a safe
driver, I can try to understand the rules of the road. I will also
help others by using my blinkers to warn others where I will go next.
This will also help prevent accidents because other drivers around me
will know my intentions regarding to where I am going to go. I will
always leave my phone in my bag, and I won’t take it out while
driving. I will also say something to my friends if they are in the
car texting and driving.
