Death
and major injuries have always been caused greatly by car accidents
involving either individuals who were driving under the influence,
texting while simultaneously driving , and having heated discussion
driving with their emotion and not mentally. The importance of the
drivers ed in reducing the number of deaths as a result of
driving is greatly important and impacting factor because when the
individual is greatly educated on the basic essential of living which
in this case driving it helps decrease the percentage of possibility
of them causing an accident. It can prepare an driver and will
enhance their focus of what is at risk and how to handle certain
situations. Steps one can take to reduce the number of deaths is
first , reduce the amount of distractions in our surroundings ; such
as putting one’s phone on do not disturb and setting it aside away
for the drivers reach of hand , know who you are driving with because
sometimes the passengers are the distractors. Then making sure that
the individual about to drive is not under any influence including
prescribed medication that will affect their way of focusing and
vision because it risks the chances of accidents. Lastly
understanding the road rules and following them can be a major step
that may sound simple but is a great part of reducing deaths. Simply
by reading the signs and understanding them one can make a left or
right turn and save lives. Yearly in my school there is a group of
individuals who come in and talk about driving safely. One of the
testimonies really emphasized the importance in driving safely
because due to a irresponsible driver his family was killed. He lost
his wife, daughter and son on the accident. It impacted his life
greatly because he put a stop om his life , a life he had planned out
with his family. Steps I am willing to take to drive safer are ;
putting away my distractions , avoiding heated arguments while
driving and most certainly never drive while under any medication or
drug. I will also take classes that will provide me with more
information that will expand my understanding in driving safely. To
help others I will call to attention anyone who seems to be driving
irresponsible and remind them of the costs .
