Driver’s
Education is an essential part of every new driver’s curve to
owning and operating a car. Drivers Ed teaches all the important
things that come with a car, such as the fundamentals of getting
behind the wheel, the inner workings of the car, and many more
important steps to becoming a driver.
One
of the many roles that Drivers ed assumes is to teach new
drivers the importance of owning a vehicle and the responsibilities
that come with it. This includes things like how to operate a
vehicle, taking care of the vehicle by doing frequent maintenance,
and being a defensive driver. These things all help to reduce the
number of deaths caused by driving, especially in younger teens who
gain access to driving a vehicle. Driving defensively is probably
the most important skill that Drivers Ed teaches you, as it
teaches you to go slow and reduce the amount of risks that one takes
while driving, which overall will reduce the amount of risks that
young teens will take that could result in death due to reckless
driving.
There
are a lot of steps that can be taken to make sure that the number of
deaths caused by driving is reduced. One of the ones already
mentioned is defensive driving, which reduces the risks taken to make
sure people do not die from driving. Another way to reduce the
deaths caused by driving is making sure your vehicle works before
taking it out on the road. Drivers ed helps with this
because it teaches you how all the basic elements in a car works and
how to spot of one of these things is not functioning properly. Both
of these things are the most important when trying to reduce the
amount of deaths caused by driving.
I
have never been in a car accident that is a result of a family member
or friend, nor have I seen them drive irresponsibly. However, I do
see many peers in my school post videos of them speeding on the
highway or spinning donuts in parking lots. This is obviously not
appropriate behavior for these people to be doing when most of them
have taken the Drivers Ed course and have agreed to be a
responsible driver. For these people, there are some things that
they can do to make sure they become better and safer drivers. One
of the things is to make sure that everyone takes Driver’s
Education classes to make sure everyone is informed on all the things
it requires to own a vehicle. People can also take a defensive
driving class to make sure they are responsible drivers. Making sure
everyone’s vehicle properly works is also a big way that people can
become better and safer drivers.
All
in all, Drivers ed makes sure that the amount of deaths
caused by driving is reduced, which makes Drivers Ed all the more
important for everyone to take and learn about owning a vehicle.
