The Importance
of Driving Safely

There are so many
fatal car accidents every single day in the United States. This essay
is going to highlight the importance of driving safely in the hope of
trying to make a difference in other drivers lives. I will be
answering four major questions in order to help others understand
that driving safely should be a priority when learning how to drive
and taking the course. I have some questions in the following
paragraphs that will point to safer driving on the road.

What
is the importance of drivers ed in reducing the number deaths
as a result of driving? I have benefited greatly from taking my
drivers ed. I have never gotten in a serious wreck as well as
my town has been a safe place to drive. The education you get as a
driver helps you understand not only the rules of the road but how
you should react to other drivers. That is the biggest problem I see
in young drivers is how to react to their surrounding and drivers
education helps teach you what to do in certain scenarios. Now, what
steps can be taken to reduce the number of deaths related to driving?
To add on to my previous response we can advocate for a longer
drivers ed course. A course that will really engage students
and new drivers in their journey on becoming a good driver. If a
course is more engaging then the driver will less likely be involved
in a fatal or deadly crash because of the longer more engaging class.

To relate to the
question. Have you ever had an experience of being in car accident or
have seen your friends or family members driving irresponsibly? I
fortunately have not. I have heard stories of family friends getting
involved in a deadly crash due to lack of road knowledge and
experience that can only be taught by an instructor of driver
education. It was tragic to hear about their accident and luckily
everyone turned out okay but I became thankful for the education
received on driving. After that day I wanted every new driver to have
the same great experience of learning the rules of the road in class.
What steps can you take to be a better and safer driver as well as
help others become safer on the road? This is a great question to ask
every time you get in your car and drive. Whenever you drive other
people, they most likely have their license and can drive. So, that
being said we as drivers should set a good example and keep others
accountable while they are driving. Someone that has excelled in
drivers ed should help others that struggled and or drive them
around so they can visually learn what its like to drive. I hope
these questions have helped show the need for more steps into safer
driving!
