education is an extremely important factor in reducing the number of
deaths as a result of driving. Drivers ed informs individuals
of the dangers associated with driving so that they can make
significant efforts to prevent these possible dangers from occurring.
There are several steps that can be taken to reduce the number of
deaths related to driving. The most essential step is to become
informed about the risks associated with driving and how to avoid the
possible negative outcomes of these risks. This is the most essential
step because being aware of the risks associated with driving allows
an individual to take the necessary steps in order to prevent these
risks from occurring. I have experienced my mother driving
irresponsible multipled times throughout my life. I have been in the
car while my mother was driving while under the influence of alcohol.
I have also been in the car while my father was talking on his cell
phone. To be a better and safer driver myself, I could choose to no
longer keep my cell phone where I can see it while I am driving in
order to prevent myself from becoming distracted while driving. To
help others become safer on the road, I can encourage my friends to
put their cell phones in a place where they cannot see them while
driving. I can also offer to be the designated sober driver whenever
my friends plan to consume alcohol at an event.
