The
importance of being a safe driver is being a very responsible driver.
You have your life and other people’s lives in your hands. You need
to be focused on the road and others around you 100% of the time.
There should be no distractions in the car. Other drivers should
drive the same way because one look at your phone could kill you and
someone else.
Many
steps can be taken to make sure you are a safe driver. You should
know your surroundings of your car and the people around you who are
driving also. Know your blind spots in your car. Eliminate your
distractions inside the car, like your phone. Don’t be on your
phone when driving. Wear your seatbelt at all times no matter what.
I
have been in one car accident since I started driving. I wasn’t
paying attention to my surroundings and it was icy out and I was
going a little too fast. I went into a parking lot and slammed my car
into my friends car. No one was hurt thankfully it was just damage to
the cars.
There
are many steps you can take to be a safe driver. I should know the
blindspots in my car. Go the speed limit. Drive extremely safe when
there are bad driving conditions. Always use a seatbelt just in case
you do get in an accident. I should not be on my phone until I get to
my destination.
