It is
important to be a safe and educated driver because it is our duty as
drivers to know the road rules to drive safely. Most people just
take drivers ed because they have too; they don’t care about what
is being learned as long as they pass the class. In drivers ed
students learn how to check mirrors and how to constantly search so
that they can drive defensively. When students learn how to drive
defensively from the beginning it is easier for them to be able to
protect themselves and others. Most of the time if someone is not
driving defensively, it is pretty obvious because they would be
making little mistakes like not staying in the lines and emergency
braking constantly. Everyone knows someone that drives irresponsibly,
whether it be that they go on their phone or they aren’t keeping
their eyes on the road. If they haven’t gotten in a car accident
yet, then it is bound to happen soon because they are being unsafe.
The steps to take to be a better and safe driver are simple ones. The
first one is to take drivers ed seriously and actually try to learn
because when one pays attention, one retains the information more.
The second step is to stay attentive on the road because then you
will be able to deal with emergencies and surprises on the road. The
third is to pass on the information to others when you see unsafe
driving. These steps will make you and better and safer driver.
