education is very important because it fully equips students with the
right information to stay safe on the roads and to make sure they are
ready to hit the road. This then leads to people being more prepared
and having a better chance to be safe and not get in an accident.
This then limits car accidents in America because the majority of the
accidents are caused by younger people, who just got on the road and
are learning. The roads are filled with people who are not educated
on driving and are just hoping that they do not get in an accident.
That is why drivers ed is very important nowadays because
people are so reckless and want to get somewhere very fast. In my
experience I have seen people speeding and almost getting into car
crashes because they were reckless and just trying to get there
faster. It really frightens me when this happens because this could
happen to anyone even if it is not your fault.
Steps
that can be taken to reduce car accidents in America are that phones
should automatically lock if they are in a car because the highest
cause of death for car accidents is because of distractions like
phones. I have personally seen people use their phones while driving
and posing danger for others and for themselves. Another step that
can be taken is to put a machine that will only let you start a car
if you take a BAC test and it has to be lower than the legal limit.
This will stop the cause of deaths because of drunk driving. The 2
leading causes of car accidents are distractions and DUI. To
eliminate that would be very beneficial to cut down the amount of car
accidents.
I
have never experienced a car accident as my parents are very careful
when driving. My sister has been in a car accident a few years ago.
She was hit because someone did not stop at a stop sign and hit her
as she was going down the street. I have been in a car when someone
was driving because they were on their phone and they were also
speeding. I was very worried because I thought they were going to
crash into someone. That was when I finally understood why it is so
important to stay safe and drive slowly. I always thought that
driving fast was so much better, but it is not and you need to drive
safely.
A
way I can be a better and safer driver is to make sure I do not use
my phone at all. Phones are very tempting, but I will have to fight
the urge because it is very dangerous to be distracted while driving.
Another way to stay safe is to make sure that I will not go in a car
with someone who has been drinking and instead make sure I drive the
car if I am not drunk. This can save my life and other people in that
cars life. This roads would be safer that way and I would be safer
that way.
